Purpose of Youth Ministry with 6th & 7th Grades
God’s Covenant:
In Holy Baptism God’s Holy Name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was placed on our children. That began an amazing journey! The Middle School years are a critical time in this journey. This is an important time to ground your family and your child in a living faith that will guide them throughout the teenage years and throughout life.
Grace promises to assist you in the following ways:
Deepen & nurture your life, faith, and relationships. Jesus came that we may have joy and that our joy may be full!
After School time – every Wednesday from October - May for 6th & 7th grades, Church Bus brings youth; pickup at 5:00
o Learn about the Bible and its application and relevance for us.
o Participate in Service activities – to live our faith in love and care for others.
o Experience worship, fellowship, and Good News in Jesus.
Crossways’ Waypost Camp - June 23-28, 2013 - a fun week in which your child grows in joy and depth.
Quake - April 12-14, 2013 in the Dells - a weekend of Christian music, main speaker and workshops
Many youth activities for both parents and youth; we encourage to participate in together:
o Power of One concert at Kimberly High School, November 3, 2012
o Lockin at Grace in November, 2012
o Winter Fest in January, 2013 at Camp Forest Springs
o Greater Galilee Baptist Church trip in February, 2013 in Milwaukee
o Summer Service trip in August, 2013

Grace invites parents to participate in the following for the sake of your child:
Use the “Taking Faith Home" insert from worship
Use the "Christ in our Home" quarterly booklet - in the Gathering Space at Grace
The greatest gift you can ever give your child is your encouragement, example, and journeying with them in trusting God and loving others as Jesus loves us.
